Key Responsibilities :
xc2xb7 Identify gaps, develop and implement solutions to drive Performance Improvement across multiple warehouse sites/operations activities including data collection, assessment and collection, facility layouts, process design, staff planning, budgeting and proposal development.
xc2xb7 Effectively utilize data when analyzing issues and problem solving
xc2xb7 Leads project teams in LEAN improvement projects as designated by management
xc2xb7 Creating strategy for warehouse models with AutoCad/ CLASS or other tools to optimize it
xc2xb7 Design, evolve, deploy & manage standards, methodologies and tools, exploiting the best practice process through leveraging the network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
xc2xb7 Specialized in setting up new warehouse (Infrastructure) Green field & Existing warehouse
xc2xb7 Familiar with Warehouse Layout design, Plan for material storage facility (i.e. Different types of racking systems, trolleys, bins)
xc2xb7 Define Material flow from Supplier location to point of use on Production line, Material routing methods, Line side supplying methods etc
xc2xb7 Automation expertise in warehouse / DC like implementation of AGV, RF Scan gun, Tracking systems, Conveyors, Guided Order pickers, Batch job runs in WMS, Barcoding, Digital dashboards, robotic packaging, ASRS, etc
xc2xb7 Setting Min/ Max level for all local/ items as per its store space availability
xc2xb7 Implement Industry best practices like WMS (Warehouse Management System), KANBAN, JIS, JIT, eKANBAN for material procurement, Milk run, Sequencing supply, Visual management, traffic management, etc
xc2xb7 Managing projects related to warehouse using Lean Management, Costing, Project Management Responsible for presentation of proposed solution to the team and internal leadership
xc2xb7 Conduct Workshop / VSM / Kaizen to identify opportunity in Labor productivity, Warehouse space, Standardization and Lead time optimization
xc2xb7 Identify & Deploy Digitization opportunity to improve efficiency of Plant warehouse /DC's.
Process Improvement (CIP):-
xc2xb7 Well versed with BPR (Business Process Engineering) and VSM (Value stream mapping)
xc2xb7 Well versed with quality tools like DMAIC,FMEA,SIPOC, Pareto analysis and application of Ishikawa diagram related to warehousing process and procedures.
xc2xb7 Should have implemented 5S, Visual management, Kaizen and 8D Report.
xc2xb7 Basic knowledge of safety concepts pertaining to warehousing operation (Operation safety, Electrical safety,PPEs, First level of safety Audit).
xc2xb7 Assist or coordinate with Regional / All India Safety manager for executing out the safety policy, process, procedures, Audits and Actions as required.
xc2xb7 Should have strong knowledge (Logical) on WMS (Warehouse management system) and its advance support function like RF and Barcode based operation etc.
Qualifications
xc2xb7 Bachelors Degree required (Industrial/Mechanical/Production Engineering degree preferred)
xc2xb7 Minimum of 6-8 years experience working in logistics operations or logistics engineering support environment required
xc2xb7 Strong project management skills
xc2xb7 Knowledge of Six Sigma or other process improvement methods and Lean Logistics
xc2xb7 Advanced knowledge of all MS office products: Project, Visio, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
xc2xb7 Proficient in AutoCAD
xc2xb7 Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
xc2xb7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
xc2xb7 Self motivated and ability to work with minimum guidance
xc2xb7 Ability to inspire people to achieve a common goal
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required (Industrial/Mechanical/Production Engineering degree preferred)
