The DGM / AGM - Marketing & BD will lead business development and customer acquisition activities for EPC projects in non-PSU/Govt. sector industries. The role requires strong technical understanding of Project Marketing (Specially Air Pollution Control systems, Material Handling solutions, AMC services, and Railway Track (siding) construction works. The incumbent must drive order booking, develop new markets, build client relationships, and support tendering/estimations to achieve organizational growth targets.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Market Expansion
Identify and develop new business opportunities in private sector industries such as steel, cement, power, mining, manufacturing, ports, and logistics.
Generate leads for EPC projects, AMC contracts, operational support services, and railway siding works.
Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and growth segments.
Prepare and execute strategic marketing plans to achieve annual order booking targets.
B. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers: Project Heads, Maintenance Heads, Procurement, and Operations teams.
Conduct regular client visits, technical presentations, and discussions to position the company's offerings.
Ensure continuous customer engagement and address technical/commercial queries promptly.
C. Tendering, Proposals & Sales Support
Coordinate with internal teams for tender preparation, technical proposals, cost estimation, and bid submission.
Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and commercial terms for accuracy and competitiveness.
Lead negotiations, techno-commercial discussions, and finalize contracts with clients.
D. Coordination with Project & Engineering Teams
Work closely with engineering, execution, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth handover of projects post-order.
Support in resolving pre-order and post-order issues with customers.
E. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare MIS reports, sales funnel updates, competitor analysis, and management reports.
Maintain documentation related to offers, contracts, technical clarifications, and customer communication.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
A Graduate in any discipline with an MBA in Marketing (preferred).
12-15 years of experience in marketing/business development in EPC/Engineering/Industrial sectors.
Strong experience in marketing of:
o Air Pollution Control Systems (ESP, Bag Filters, Scrubbers, etc.)
o Material Handling Systems (Conveyors, Crushers, Bulk Handling Equipment)
o AMC & O&M services
o Railway Siding / Track construction or related works
Experience working with private/non-PSU customers is mandatory.
