Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related field. Good understanding of generator / engine / alternator systems, power generation principles (AC/DC systems, three-phase power, control panels, wiring, safety systems). Experience (or at least familiarity) with testing procedures for DG sets / engines / electrical equipment -- e.g. load bank testing, voltage regulation test, safety checks, control panel test, mechanical integrity. Proficiency with test instruments and measuring tools (multimeter, oscilloscopes, load testers, data loggers, gauges, etc.) and ability to maintain / calibrate them. Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret test data, identify anomalies or defects, and perform root-cause analysis. Attention to detail, methodical work approach, documentation habit, adherence to quality/ safety standards. Good communication skills -- to coordinate with production, design, QA, and highlight issues, corrective actions, and improvements. Understanding of Quality Management concepts -- e.g. quality control, inspection, compliance, documentation of non-conformities, corrective & preventive actions. Knowledge of standards (internal or external) is beneficial. Ideally, experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferably in genset / heavy-equipment manufacturing / electrical equipment manufacturing).
