A DG Technician cum Operator is responsible for

operating and maintaining diesel generator (DG) sets

Responsibilities

Operation:

Start, stop, and monitor the operation of DG sets to ensure a stable power supply.

Maintenance:

Perform regular preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with the DG sets.

Performance Monitoring:

Check equipment performance, regulate controls, and adjust settings to meet operational standards.

Documentation:

Accurately record all maintenance, repair, and service activities.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety regulations and company policies to create a safe work environment.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain an inventory of necessary tools and spare parts.

Coordination:

Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet project goals and ensure smooth operations.

Mechanical Expertise:

Proficient in working with diesel engines and mechanical components.
