Job Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Perform daily checks on fuel level, engine oil, coolant, battery, and control panels. Start and shut down DG sets safely during power failures and load changes. Monitor DG performance parameters such as voltage, frequency, load, and temperature. Carry out routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs. Coordinate with electricians and maintenance teams during breakdowns. Maintain DG logbooks, fuel consumption records, and maintenance reports. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company SOPs. Handle AMF panels and synchronize DG operations if required. Identify faults and report major issues to senior engineers/vendors.

Job Requirements:

Minimum

3 years of hands-on experience

as a DG Operator. ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical (preferred). Good knowledge of DG engines, alternators, AMF panels, and basic electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot common DG faults. Familiarity with safety procedures and emergency handling. Physically fit and willing to work in shifts if required.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of fuel management and load optimization. Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems. Good communication and reporting skills.
