Inviting applications for the role of Model Validation analyst, Analytics (Senior Manager)

In this role, the candidate would be required to carry out end-to-end validation of credit risk models including the evaluation of the models from qualitative and quantitative standpoint and summarizing the findings in a report.
Responsibilities

• Provide project management support – assign projects to different analysts, track projects and provide update on project progress to client stakeholders, highlight risks and challenges in projects, and ensure project completion on time
• Provide technical guidance to team on the validation projects
• Mentor and review work of team members
• Work hands-on on critical validation projects
• Assess the models conceptually and quantitatively to ensure the model is suitable for the stated use. Conduct necessary assessments to challenge the model effectively. Assess adequacy of model documentation

• Communicate with client stakeholders on regular basis to discuss project progress and analysis outputs

• Masters’ degree in a quantitative discipline, with proven experience in quantitative data analytics and modeling

• Good understanding of credit risk for consumer and commercial lending products
• Prior experience of developing or validating regulatory models, and understanding of the global regulatory landscape – SR 11-7, CECL/ CCAT guidelines etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of the statistical and theoretical issues in risk models
• Strong knowledge of statistical/quantitative models, tools and techniques – Regression models, Segmentation, Time Series Analysis, Markov Models, Survival Models etc.
• Programming proficiency in SAS
• Strong client management and communication skills – written & verbal
• Proven experience of managing complex analytical projects in risk and regulatory domain
• Strong team player
• Should have strong consulting mindset to engage with Global senior stakeholders

• Understanding of US banking regulations on Capital, Provisioning – Basel, CCAR, CECL and experience of developing or validating regulatory models preferred
• Hands-on experience in Python or R
• Proficiency in advanced Excel macros/VBA
