What you\'ll do:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced DevSecOps engineer with solid knowledge and experience on CI/CD, application security and open-source software. You will be a part of a high-performing, motivated, incredibly supportive and friendly Open Source Software Security team and will collaborate with leading CI/CD and security experts from central teams and LoBs.

You will work on:

delivery of service excellence to users of OSS tools

resolution of complex design problems in OSS related processes and tools

design, implementation and continuous improvements of OSS related processes and tools

As a senior DevSecOps engineer you will:

influence the definition of the Open Source Scanning strategy in SAP

evaluate 3rd party tools and concepts to recommend the most suitable ones for secure development of widely spread and newest languages/technologies in SAP

coordinate with third party vendors of OSS tools (e.g., Synopsys and WhiteSource)

plan and test new features and new releases of OSS tools

evaluate business and product requirements of the LoBs and translate them into technical requirements for the services and tools

align with LoBs regarding implementation of the proposed services and tools

ensure high availability and troubleshoot/mitigate issues

extend and share Open Source Scanning knowledge with the community via collaboration platforms, trainings or presentations in internal venues

establishing of monitoring infrastructure for existing tools and new OSS scanning services

contribute to development activities of piper steps, services and tools

What you bring:

master\'s degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields

5+ years of professional experience in software development

knowledge of application security testing, secure coding principles, security risks, security standards and basics of penetration testing

good understanding of the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and Secure Development and Operation Lifecycle (SDOL)

excellent understanding of CI/CD, systems architecture, technical design, data structures, and algorithms

knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Java, NodeJS, Python, Go, etc.

customer focused, ideally with experience in responding to complex customer queries

agile mindset and experience working with agile development processes (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)

excellent written and spoken communication skills

self-motivated, curious, open minded, resourceful, team-player with the ability to learn quickly

knowledge of docker and Kubernetes is a plus

experience working with OSS/SAST/DAST tools is a plus

CISA, CCSP, CISM or CISSP certifications are a plus
