We're looking to hire a DevRel Engineer primary role will be to create deep technical content that is helpful to our users.
At
SigNoz
, we have a high bar for our content, whether it be our blogs or docs. On topics that are core to our product, like OpenTelemetry, we have published many helpful blogs that help developers figure out things they get stuck with and can't find resources on it anywhere else on the internet, literally.
And, we do it from our expertise in helping out hundreds of our users daily for both our open source and cloud offerings. It's a goldmine of ideas for creating new docs/blogs.
People say devs hate marketing - we disagree. It's just that they don't want to be tricked. Create authentic, helpful content for them, and they will rave about you to their friends. You do this consistently, and you start creating a brand.
A great content piece requires extensive research and a top-notch understanding of its users. Combine this with an extreme ownership mindset + attention to detail, you have a winner in yourself as a successful developer advocate.
Creating good technical content is core to any developer advocacy. That's how you speak to your audience.
Some good to haves and must haves for this role:
1. Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and tools in the observability domain
2. Must have produced technical content before - otherwise, it's hard to make a judgment for us
3. Open to feedback, and with a great attention to detail. This goes hand in hand for creating good content. Initially, you will make mistakes, and you will get feedback. But then you need to double down on that feedback and ensure that the same feedback is not needed again. We want to scale as a team, and there won't be someone to review your work always
4. Extreme ownership mindset - you own the piece of content end-to-end. Make sure the demo is working, check-in for any breaking library changes from time to time, update when new info is available.
5. Use AI tools smartly - AI workflows are integral to how the growth pod at SigNoz operates. It's also fun.
There are more, but the above should be enough.
We're still a small bunch of passionate people ~ 30 people. And the environment to work in is just
Some perks:
100% remote team (we don't have offices), and we intend to keep it that way
Workation about every 6 months, it's so much fun, I can't tell you
Freedom to own projects end-to-end, you will thrive if you can do this.
- Opportunity to grow your career in developer advocacy with a deeply technical team - an observability tool is as technical as technical gets.
