How You Will Contribute

Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, delivers cutting-edge intelligent automation software and specialized professional services to modernize IT and network operations. Leveraging policy-driven insights and AI-based analytics, Blue Planet empowers digital transformation through adaptive networks and closed-loop automation tools.
Responsibilities include:Configure, automate, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes infrastructure. Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD tools for software pipeline automation. Deploy Blue Planet applications in AWS environments or other cloud platforms. Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and automate application processes. Implement and operate high availability (HA), geo-redundant, and zero-downtime upgrade solutions. Perform daily operational tasks and provide support to end-users, including product and project developers.

The Must HavesBachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Minimum of 3+ years of relevant CloudOps/DevOps experience. Proficiency in Linux OS configuration, automation, and troubleshooting. Expertise in CI/CD development and maintenance processes. Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP services, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like TeamCity/GitLab and source control systems such as GitLab/Bitbucket. Excellent documentation skills.

Nice to HavesExperience with CI/CD for SaaS applications. Knowledge of monitoring frameworks like Prometheus or Nagios. Familiarity with OSS and telecom domain expertise. Exposure to OpenShift Cloud Platform, networking concepts, and security protocols. Collaboration skills with stakeholders and global teams. Ability to attend status calls and work closely with product development teams.
