- Devops (Linux Focused)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity professional with strong expertise in Linux system administration and command-line security operations. The ideal candidate should be able to secure and manage Linux-based servers, troubleshoot issues directly from the command line, and integrate security best practices across web servers, databases, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day security and system administration tasks using Linux commands and shell scripting. Monitor and analyze logs (system, Apache, Nginx, database, firewall) using Linux tools (grep, awk, sed, journalctl, etc.). Implement hardening, patching, and secure configurations for Linux servers. Manage and secure web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL, o PostgreSQL). Configure and maintain security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM). Perform vulnerability assessments and respond to cybersecurity incidents. Integrate Linux-based security automation with cloud platforms (AWS & Azure). Document security procedures and prepare incident response reports. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment . Manage and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application reliability. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery. Implement security best practices and compliance checks in deployment workflows. Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and reduce manual errors. Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalability and cost-effectiveness. Support rollback strategies and disaster recovery planning.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Expertise in Linux commands, administration, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of security terms, concepts, and best practices. Knowledge of web server management (Apache, Nginx). 3 of 4 o Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and their security. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, Wireshark). Cloud security exposure in AWS & Azure. Basic scripting or automation skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell). Good knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, DNS.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field. Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, Linux+, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty or Any security certification. Hands-on SOC or IT security experience.
