Job Title: - DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Introduction:

• Support and enhancement activities across Wholesale Lending
• Software development and design related to support initiatives
• Implementation and optimization of DevOps tools and processes across Wholesale Lending
• Release automation by building development CI/CD pipelines for zero-touch deployments
• Drive deliveries assigned within through an agile project methodology
• Independently identify repetitive or time consuming processes that can be automated, especially where they benefit multiple business areas for Infrastructure setup.

What will you be doing?

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required. The role is not “coding to a spec”, but rather understanding high-level business requirements and working as a team (with guidance) to craft solutions to meet those business needs. Each member of the team is expected to contribute to the solution, not merely follow direction.
• Demonstrated project experience from inception and design to delivery. Support and maintenance experience is expected, but a significant design and implementation experience is required.
• Work with the Global DevOps lead to define the strategic direction of the platform
• Input into product configurations, software choices, interoperability, CI/CD framework implementation
• Actively promotes and drives the implementation of Application Delivery strategy and policies, making recommendations to improve procedures and working practices. Has accountability for, and drives, the implementation of operational objectives for team
• Escalating risks and issues to the WSL IT project manager throughout the project lifecycle
• Providing support to the Project Manager helping to define analysis approach in line with the vision of the programme and the methodology of the organisation

What We’re Looking For In-depth knowledge of the DevOps and infrastructure will be required to undertake this role.

• Experienced with Middleware Products like WAS/JBOSS/MQ/TomCat, network, storage, virtualization.
• Hands on experience on Java/C#, SQL and Shell/Python/Ruby/Groovy Scripting and automating deployments.
• In depth Knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes, concepts and benefits. Understand benefit of fully-automated deployments
• Strong grasp with Devops tools
  • Automation/Configuration tools: Chef/Terraform/Cloud Formation/Puppet/Ansible
  • CI/CD tools: Teamcity, Jenkins, Nolio, Maven/Gradle/NPM, GIT/Bitbucket, Nexus
  • Code Quality – SonarQube/SonarLint/Jacoco/Veracode
  • Work management – Confluence, Jira
• Worked on infrastructure, cyber and data evergreen projects.
• Experience implementing cloud, aPaaS, IAC, IaaS solutions.
• Experience managing the security vulnerability, CA certificate management.

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Good understanding of infrastructure & cyber security evergreen projects like upgrades, patching, CA certification, SFTP, infra Decommision/Provisioning.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience
• Experience of working in a regulated industry
• Experience of automating docker based environments, Kuberneties, Openshift, ECS
• SQL/Oracle
• HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript/JQuery
