Role Purpose
The Development & IT Operations Executive is responsible for supporting application development, system operations, and day-to-day IT infrastructure and application stability. The role ensures smooth deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of business applications and IT services across corporate and site locations.
This position acts as a critical bridge between
development teams, infrastructure, vendors, and business users
, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
1. Development & Application Support
Support development, configuration, and deployment of internal applications, portals, and enterprise systems (HRMS, ERP, LMS, internal tools, etc.).
Coordinate with developers for application releases, patches, upgrades, and bug fixes.
Assist in requirement understanding, testing (UAT), and post-deployment support.
Maintain application documentation, SOPs, and version control records.
2. IT Operations & System Management
Monitor day-to-day IT operations to ensure uptime, system performance, and issue resolution.
Manage servers, cloud services, databases, and application environments (Production/UAT).
Perform routine system health checks, backups, and performance monitoring.
Ensure adherence to IT security policies and access controls.
3. Incident, Change & Problem Management
Handle L1/L2 incident tickets related to applications, systems, and infrastructure.
Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive actions.
Support change management activities including impact analysis and rollback planning.
Ensure SLA compliance for internal and vendor-managed services.
4. DevOps & Automation Support (Where Applicable)
Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management.
Assist in basic scripting and automation for system tasks and monitoring.
Coordinate with DevOps or cloud partners for environment setup and optimization.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with IT vendors, OEMs, and system integrators for support and escalations.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Projects, L&D, Admin, Plants).
Track vendor deliverables, SLAs, and support tickets.
6. Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
Maintain IT asset, application, and access management records.
Support IT audits, compliance checks, and information security reviews.
Prepare MIS reports on incidents, uptime, releases, and operational metrics.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of
software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Knowledge of
Windows/Linux servers
, databases, and application environments.
Exposure to
cloud platforms
(AWS / Azure / GCP) is preferred.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira, etc.).
Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and access management.
Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps concepts, or automation tools is an advantage.

Educational Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. (IT/CS)
or equivalent qualification.
Relevant certifications in IT, cloud, DevOps, or ITSM are an added advantage.
Experience
Executive:
1-3 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, or Development Support
Senior Executive:
3-6 years of experience in IT Ops, DevOps support, or enterprise application support
Experience in
large organizations, multi-location operations, or manufacturing/infrastructure setups
is preferred.
