Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure as code (IaC).


This role involves close collaboration with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline the software delivery pipeline, improve deployment reliability, and ensure system resilience and observability.


Key Responsibilities:


Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.


Implement and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.


Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.


Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring to enhance operational efficiency.


Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the SDLC.


Establish and maintain security, compliance, and governance within infrastructure pipelines.


Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.


Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments.


Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and high availability for production workloads.


Mentor junior DevOps engineers and enforce best practices in automation and reliability.


Required Skills and Experience:


7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.


Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.


Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.


Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.


In-depth understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managed services (EKS/AKS/GKE, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.).


Strong experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).


Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security groups.


Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, CloudWatch).


Working knowledge of Git, version control workflows, and branching strategies.


Experience with secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).


Exposure to DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning and compliance automation.


Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).


Experience with serverless architectures and microservices deployments.


Familiarity with GitOps frameworks (ArgoCD, Flux).


Knowledge of policy-as-code and compliance tools (OPA, Conftest, AWS Config).


Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.


Soft Skills:


Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.


Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.


Ability to work under minimal supervision in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
