We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate a Kafka-centric IoT platform supporting 50,000+ devices, real-time MQTT ingestion, and low-latency data pipelines. The platform will run in hybrid environments (AWS and on-premises) and will be fully automated using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for: AWS (VPC, EKS, EC2, ALB/NLB, IAM, storage) On-prem infrastructure (VMs, networking, load balancers) Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters on AWS and on-prem Deploy and manage Kafka-centric event streaming platforms Operate core platform components:

o Kafka


o MQTT brokers (VerneMQ)


o Keycloak (IAM)


o APISIX (API Gateway)


o Redis, PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB, MinIO

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI / Jenkins / Argo CD) Use Helm for application and platform deployments Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana,

ELK/OpenSearch)

Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery Secure infrastructure using TLS, certificates, RBAC, secrets management

(Vault/OpenBao)

Collaborate with backend (.NET) and frontend (Angular) teams


Requirements

Terraform - strong experience with reusable modules and environments Kubernetes (EKS + on-prem clusters) Apache Kafka operations and tuning CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD Helm for Kubernetes deployments Linux system administration & networking Managing stateful workloads on Kubernetes TLS, certificates, secrets management Bash/Shell scripting (Python is a plus)

Good to Have

Hybrid AWS + on-prem architecture experience VerneMQ operations Keycloak deployment & scaling MinIO / S3-compatible object storage OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing Experience with high-throughput IoT or streaming systems
