DevOps Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to streamline and enhance our software development and operational processes. This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure tasks, and administering key tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and JIRA. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in build automation and deployment, along with a collaborative mindset to support cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

Architect, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD workflows to support efficient software delivery. Create and manage scripts for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure automation using tools such as Bash, Python, or Groovy. Oversee Jenkins configuration and performance tuning to ensure reliable build and release operations. Maintain GitHub repositories, enforce branching strategies, and facilitate code reviews and pull requests. Administer JIRA projects and workflows to align with agile development practices and team needs. Deploy and manage monitoring and logging systems to maintain application health and performance visibility. Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and timely software delivery. Apply security best practices across development and deployment activities.

Candidate Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor//'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years in a DevOps or similar engineering role. Technical Proficiency: Strong command of CI/CD methodologies and tools. Advanced scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, or Groovy. Proven experience in Jenkins setup and optimization. Solid understanding of GitHub and version control principles. Familiarity with JIRA administration and agile frameworks. Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
