Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer at MRI Software, you'll be the primary DevOps specialist within a multidisciplinary innovation team exploring the intersection of AI, automation, and infrastructure engineering.
You'll work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers in Agora AI Labs while collaborating with the wider DevOps and Cloud Engineering community across the organization. You'll design, automate, and operate the infrastructure that powers our internal AI initiatives - bringing modern DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices into everything we build.

Responsibilities
CloudLead the setup, automation, and management of Azure-based infrastructure for Agora AI Labs projects. Collaborate with central DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams on architecture, security standards, and governance alignment. Configure and maintain core Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity) while exploring emerging Azure features relevant to AI workloads. Document cloud architectures, connectivity, and deployment patterns for ongoing and future Labs projects.

AutomationDesign and implement end-to-end automation - from infrastructure provisioning to CI/CD deployments. Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, secure, and compliant delivery. Use Terraform (and AI-assisted tooling such as the Model Context Protocol) and Ansible to provision and manage Azure environments. Implement automation that reduces manual effort, accelerates delivery, and increases system reliability.

CollaborateAct as the DevOps point of contact for Agora AI Labs, collaborating directly with engineers and researchers to translate project needs into scalable infrastructure solutions. Partner with central DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to align Labs infrastructure with organizational standards. Help design and maintain the Labs infrastructure, ensuring scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. Participate in release planning and deployments in coordination with development and release management teams. Own and manage all test, staging, and production environments for Labs applications in Azure.

ImprovementContinuously analyze existing tools, workflows, and processes -- recommending improvements and introducing AI-enhanced DevOps practices. Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) to evaluate new technologies, especially those that integrate AI with DevOps workflows. Stay current with cloud and automation trends, sharing insights with both the Labs team and the wider DevOps community. Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of processes, systems, and environments.

Monitoring & AlertsEstablish monitoring, alerting, and observability for all Labs systems using Azure Monitor and related tools. Diagnose, resolve, and prevent recurring issues through automation and proactive detection. Develop dashboards and insights into infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost usage.

Requirements3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure role. Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud services and PaaS components. Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern deployment practices. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) -- particularly Terraform, ARM Templates, and Ansible. Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Pipelines. Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, including scripting (Bash, PowerShell). Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, etc.). Understanding of DevSecOps and cloud governance. Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills - able to work independently while engaging across multiple teams. Nice to have: + Exposure to AI DevOps tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Terraform MCP, Azure AI integrations).
+ Azure Administrator or DevOps certification (AZ-104, AZ-400).
