Your role

Do you want to design and build next generation applications using the latest technologies? Do you like setting up CI/CD and deployment processes for applications? Are you an expert when it comes to DevOps and Software Development tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, , IntelliJ and other IDEs, PowerShell or Bash targeting Microsoft Azure Resources? Are you familiar with any software packaging tools? Do you have a proven ability to solve complex issues, covering both technical and business needs?




We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to:




create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant Azure cloud infrastructure and desktop solutions for our developer community design, develop and maintain common tooling, infrastructure, and processes for developer desktop platforms on Azure engineer and support Gitlab Pipelines and Terraform to manage IaC across several Microsoft Azure resources/services. write and test code to automate package building, testing, releasing and installation troubleshoot and support developers on software package issues conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC take end-to-end ownership of core IDEs (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Git, Jetbrains IntelliJ, Pycharm, Clion, etc.) which includes packaging of the software, management of the licenses, infrastructure, plugins and libraries, automation and tooling, support and troubleshooting

Your team

You'll be working in the Core Platform Engineering team focusing on Developer Platform Engineering, as part of the Group CTO organization in Pune or Hyderabad. We provide developers with the right tooling and environment to write code and engineer solutions at UBS. As a IDE DevTool Engineer, you'll play a key role building and maintaining tools and infrastructure to improve developer experience and productivity.

Your expertise

must have hands-on experience with PowerShell/Bash or Azure Cli, GitLab (or Azure DevOps or other DevOps toolset) pipeline development and CI/CD practices must have hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (Python, C#, typescript, JS or one of its several frameworks etc...) and IDEs (Visual Studio, IntelliJ, VS Code, PyCharm, Eclipse etc.) must understand the modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) must have solid background on basic infrastructure like AD, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP must understand Microsoft Azure Resources like VMs, KeyVaults, App Service Plans, Functions Apps, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Hub Networks experience with REST API, YAML, JSON, Git and Terraform good working knowledge on containers, Docker, Kubernetes etc. any experience with software packaging and distribution platforms (Chocolatey, NuGet, Nexus, Conda, etc.)
