About This Role
We're looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer to manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation at Paywize. You'll ensure high availability, security, and scalability across our fintech platforms. This role bridges development and operations to streamline deployments and optimize performance. Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable application delivery
Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with a strong focus on scalability, availability, and security
Set up and manage Dockerized deployments, Helm charts, and container orchestration using Kubernetes
Monitor application and infrastructure performance; troubleshoot issues to ensure system reliability and speed
Implement SRE best practices to improve system availability, incident response, and performance tuning
Establish and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
Enforce infrastructure and deployment security best practices, access control, and compliance standards
Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to streamline build, test, and release workflows
Continuously identify opportunities for automation, performance improvements, and DevOps process optimization
Required Skills and Qualifications:
4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles
Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration at scale
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
Solid understanding and practical experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS; GCP/Azure is a plus)
Familiarity with Node.js runtime environments, including optimization with PM2 and server setup using Nginx
Proficient in scripting languages like Shell, Bash, or Python for automation and tooling
Strong grasp of system performance monitoring, with hands-on experience using Prometheus, Grafana, or other observability tools
Good understanding of network and infrastructure security practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in fintech or payments infrastructure, with knowledge of compliance and security needs (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001) is a strong advantage
Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
Familiarity with high-availability and disaster recovery setups in AWS environments
Exposure to infrastructure auditing, cost optimization, and resource tagging in AWS
Understanding of transactional systems, secure API communication, and event-driven architectures
Experience implementing infrastructure security (VPC design, security groups, encryption, IAM roles/policies)
Knowledge of log aggregation, threat detection, and monitoring in financial-grade production environments
Familiarity with CI/CD strategies for fintech applications, including secure deployment and rollback procedures
Exposure to banking APIs, payment gateways, or ledger systems is a strong plus
Ability to work in fast-paced, compliance-heavy environments with strong documentation and audit trails
