Team and Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to bring in Cloud and DevOps solution design & implementation experience to our Cloud DevOps team catering to our SaaS and PaaS cloud offerings. This role provides an opportunity to work individually and with a team as well. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Cloud Development Ops.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver DevOps Consulting Solutions to cloud and on-premises implementations
• Provide technical & hands-on leadership across all areas of the build, release, and operations, to ensure delivery of exceptional DevOps technical solutions
• Have at least a broad understanding of technology, process, people, and practice for:

Agile/scrum methods

Build and release management

Infrastructure strategy and operations

Operations service delivery and support

IT organizational structure and responsibilities

Business continuity

Security

• Working closely with Cloud Operations team to build and support continuous integration, continuous delivery, deployment, and maintenance tooling.
• Work closely with the Security team to develop security automation and security monitoring to ensure highly secure operations.
• Work closely with other Development and Operations teams to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
• Research and study new technologies and services on Cloud and DevOps and share best practices.
• Document and present DevOps practices to internal teams and wider teams to promote DevOps.
• Undertake & own ad-hoc related projects and duties from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 6+ years of experience building great software using updated tools with experience in cloud architecture as well
• Bachelor\'s Degree degree or equivalent; Computer Science background preferred
• Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery (CI-CD) /DevOps concept and tools
• Excellent communication
• Strong operational experience
• Strong distributed & cross-functional headship skills
• Effective problem-solving expertise
• Configuration management proficiency
• Strong of knowledge public cloud offerings (preferably AWS) on network, security, compute, storage, and continuous integration
• Strong knowledge of Cloud security and application management
• ecosystems, including areas of security automation, security monitoring, and alert, application monitoring, and alert

Technical Skills Mandatory (Hands-on experience)

• Linux and/or Windows
• Cloud Computing - AWS/GCP/OCI etc. for Junior DevOps Engineer
• Cloud Computing - AWS know-how for Senior DevOps Engineer
• Infrastructure Automation (Terraform/Cloud Formation, Packer, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, etc.)
• Build Tools (Ant/NAnt/MSBuild/Rake/GNU Make, etc.)
• SCM Tools (SVN/Git/Perforce/Mercurial, etc.)
• Scripting Languages (Bash/Perl/Python, etc.)
• RDBMS/SQL

Optional Skillset

• Experience with GoAnywhere/MFT tool.
• Agile Tools (Rally, Jira, Version One, etc.)
• Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins/Cruise/TeamCity/Hudson etc.)
• Application Servers, servlet containers, and web servers (WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.)
• AWS/GCP/OCI certifications
• Java
• Engineers who can demo their own code repository (happy for it to be shared on the resume)
