Role Overview

This is a core engineering and infrastructure role in a founder-led startup environment. You will own our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and Kubernetes environments end to end--from initial setup and architecture decisions to scaling, optimization, and long-term reliability.

You will work closely with founders, backend engineers, and frontend teams to ensure smooth deployments, high availability, and secure systems across

not a tool-only or maintenance-only role

Core Responsibilities (Must-Have)

We are looking for an engineer with complete DevOps and cloud infrastructure ownership, not just deployment experience.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on

AWS and Azure

Own production, staging, and development environments Implement best practices for security, availability, and cost optimization across multi-cloud setups

Kubernetes & Containers

Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS) Containerize applications using Docker Handle service deployments, scaling, and rolling updates Ensure reliability and fault tolerance of containerized workloads

CI/CD & Automation

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend and frontend applications Automate deployments, testing, and environment provisioning Reduce manual operations through scripting and automation

Monitoring & Reliability

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems Ensure high uptime and fast incident response Debug infrastructure and deployment-related issues Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and observability

Collaboration & Ownership

Work closely with backend (Django) and frontend (Next.js) teams Collaborate with founders on infrastructure and multi-cloud strategy Balance speed, reliability, security, and cost in a fast-moving startup Take full ownership of infrastructure decisions and outcomes

Tools & Skills

Strong experience with

AWS and/or Azure cloud services

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) Linux system administration Networking fundamentals (VPC, VNets, Load Balancers, DNS) Experience with monitoring and logging tools

Good to Have

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation / Bicep) Security best practices and cloud compliance awareness Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments Cost optimization and performance tuning experience

Experience Requirement

2-5 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineering Experience managing production systems Hands-on experience with containerized and cloud-native applications
