What's unique about this role?

Should have a strong foundation in DevOps principles and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, automating, and supporting infrastructure and deployment of pipelines to improve development workflows, system performance, and operational reliability. This role is ideal for someone with solid scripting and automation skills who is eager to grow in a cloud-native DevOps environment.

What will this person do?

Infrastructure & Automation:

Design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure including computer, networking, storage, and databases. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, ensuring reproducibility and version control. Manage Configuration Management using Ansible, Chef, or equivalent tools. Automate provisioning, deployments, and environment management using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitOps, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.

CI/CD & Release Engineering:

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable deployments and integrations. Integrate test automation, static code analysis, security scans, and artifact management into pipelines. Manage version control with Git, enforce branching strategies and peer reviews.

Monitoring & Observability:

Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Analyze system and application logs for performance optimization and issue resolution.

Security & Compliance:

Apply security best practices, including RBAC, Azure Policy, and network security rules. Manage secrets and sensitive configurations using Azure Key Vault and secure pipelines. Support compliance initiatives through infrastructure controls and automation.

Containerization & Orchestration:

Work with Docker and deploy containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Support AKS networking, scaling, upgrades, and integration with DevOps pipelines.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

Collaborate with developers, QA, security, and product teams to improve system reliability and release velocity. Promote DevOps culture through knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in incident response, post-mortem reviews, and root cause analysis.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, cloud networking, cloud security, SRE or software development with a strong focus on automation and cloud infrastructure management. Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect). Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field Experience in agile development environments and working with Cloud Governance, Monitoring, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices Proficiency in Azure foundational services (VMs, VNet, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, etc.). Strong experience in scripting with Shell, PowerShell, or Python. Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). Hands-on with IaC using Terraform or ARM/Bicep templates. Familiarity with Git for source control and release management. Working knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker. Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights. Ability to define SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies. Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, RBAC, NSGs, Azure Policy, and secure pipeline practices.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting. Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.



This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
