Post - Developement engineer (mechanical)

responsibilities-

1. independently work on prototypes

2. conduct assembly & riveting trials

3. Identify assembly difficulties, quality risks & repeatability issues & solve it independently.

4. Check & record the assembly trials observations, inspection readings, test results

5. manufacturing the riveting tools , assembly fixtures, gauges & checking tools

inhouse/from external vendors & responsible for its trials & validation.

6. give inputs for tool requirements based on product design

7. Co-ordinate with external vendors.

8. Ensure product is ready for mass production

9. Support line trials & pilot lots manufacturing.

10. Study cycle time & consistency of tools/process.

11. Support SOP & work instruction inputs.

12. Support root cause analysis.

13. Tool modifications & optimisation

14. Cross-functional working with QA, Design engineers, Production, Tool vendors.

15. Act as single point of contact for assembly readiness.

16. Responsible for benchmark sample checking, analysis and part identification.

17. Hands on experience of measuring instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer.

skills

-

1. Must have at least moderate knowledge of manufacturing processes.

2. Hands on experience of tool assembly process.

3. Ability to understand & review assembly tool concepts.

4. Experience working with tool vendors/tool rooms.

5. Can independently run trials.

6. Can troubleshoot real production problems.

secondary skills (not mandatory)

1. Basic CAD understanding for design review

2. Exposure to jigs, fixtures, gauges

3. Basic knowledge of material properties like chemical composition & mechanical properties

Pay: ?316,515.96 - ?1,351,039.17 per year
