Job Summary
The Compliance Data Engineer is an engineering role residing within the Comcast Technology and Product Security (TPX) Organization and is responsible for strategies to deliver cyber security compliance solutions and services for Comcast. The position will deliver engineering products that will support the overall Security and Privacy Compliance roadmaps, which will include requirements grooming, working with partner engineering teams to develop data engineering solutions, testing and validation, operational handover processes, and ongoing technical leadership. The Compliance Data Engineer should have a general technical understanding of application, host, cloud and network security tools and techniques, must be familiar with security industry standards and best practices, and must be able to effectively work with development, engineering and operational counterparts, across a broad technical environments in all security areas common within an IP Carrier Services Provider industry. The position is highly collaborative across a variety of teams, both technical and non-technical, and will require a general ability to build effective, productive relationships in order to succeed. Core Responsibilities

  • Develop data ingestion, storage, search, and delivery methodologies with Kafka, cloud solutions, Databricks, Snowflake, and other technologies to support a wide array of data sources and types to support compliance dashboarding.
  • Develop automated ETL processes for data ingestion and data quality validation.
  • Establish effective measurement and operational reporting methodologies to manage performance and effectiveness of key compliance programs through supporting development of dynamic operational dashboards.
  • Analyze new and existing technologies, processes, and services to build or enhance existing services and solutions to deliver to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partner with other teams to provide technical leadership and guidance on design and architecture of new solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop a strong rapport across a variety of technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working with Databricks and Snowflake as well as cloud environments to manage data collection, parsing, storage, and search capabilities.
  • Development experience working with Python, Scala, SQL, etc
  • General working knowledge of cyber security tools and processes and working with related data
  • Experience working with Linux CLI and shell scripting.
