Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team of internal PLM Functional and Technical architects and configure/customize the Windchill PLM system as per business & functional requirements.
• Translate PLM business requirements into functional, technical requirements, solution design and development.
• ThingWorx Installation and configuration.
• Design solutions and configure system using Windchill Integration with out of the box and custom REST Web services.
• Building apps using Custom widgets, ThingWorx Extensions, Mashups and ThingWorx services.
• Devise custom solutions based upon the ThingWorx Foundation, understand and build custom architecture on the ThingWorx Thing hierarchy.
• Develop and configure for extending ThingWorx module for persona-based PLM use-cases and PLM data consumption.
• Build Custom GUI using ThingWorx Composer.
• Support integration of data from PLM to ERP, SQMS and MDM working closely with other Enterprise Systems and business stakeholders.
• Effort estimation of user stories, providing demonstrations for implementation.
• Mentoring developers and consultants on designing and implementing the better solution working around the technical feasibility.
• Lead efforts to determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on complex issues.
• Determine and lead the design of system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes and formulating alternative solutions in policies and procedures.
• Lead project development teams through execution of best practices in software development, mentoring other team members, and ensuring that project deliverables are consistent with architecture, quality, security policies.
• Keeps abreast of technical innovation by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Education and Experience:

• \xe2\x80\x8bBachelor\'s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
• \xe2\x80\x8b5 -7 years of related working experience on PTC Windchill v12.0.1 or above and it\xe2\x80\x99s supporting applications installation, administration, configurations and customization.
• \xe2\x80\x8bHands-on experience with PTC Windchill core modules PDMLink, PartsLink configuration and customizations.
• \xe2\x80\x8bShould have strong skills in PTC Thingworx Platform and Architecture. At least 3 years of Thingworx Mashup development and Thingworx extensions and at least 2 years of relational database (PostgreSQL/Oracle/ MSSQL) development experience.
• \xe2\x80\x8b5 to 7 Years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of previous experience in IT demonstrating solid performance in a role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations.

Additional Skills:

• \xe2\x80\x8bGood working experience in Thingworx Components, Creating Extensions, Core Java, JavaScript Thingworx Connectors, Thingworx Navigate, LDAP/SSO Rules Engine, Scheduler, Subscription Enabler Thing Modelling, Thing Template, Data Shape, Data Table, Value Stream Thing Services, Data Services and Linking, Widgets and events Protocols Types.
• \xe2\x80\x8bGood understanding of design structures, product structure, product configuration, manufacturing processes.
• \xe2\x80\x8bHands-on customization experience using Windchill/Java Client Architecture(WCA/JCA).
• \xe2\x80\x8bGood experience in working with multi workstream development environment using DevOps CI/CD tools and methodologies. Knowledge in GitLab is a plus and preferred.
• \xe2\x80\x8bPTC Windchill/ThingWorx certifications or affiliated trainings is desirable.

Relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments/corporate.

• \xe2\x80\x8bTechnical Skills required: Java, JSP, Java Script, XML, JSON, SQL, PL/SQL, Info*Engine Web Services, SOAP/RESTful Web Services , Knowledge of O Data, Ajax, Database tuning, Git.
• \xe2\x80\x8bExcellent communication skills both written and oral. Need to be able to clearly communicate expectations to the team as well as report on progress in a clear and concise manner.
• \xe2\x80\x8bAbility to establish effective working relationships in a team environment and be able to work independently to meet the project deliverables.
• \xe2\x80\x8bSolid analytical skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
