We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. WeaAEURA(TM)re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

YouaAEURA(TM)ll be a Cloud developer within the Customer Contact Engineering team, developing cutting edge products that are at the forefront of the BankaAEURA(TM)s numerous contact interactions with its customers. The ethos of the team is to build not only innovative cloud-based solutions but to deliver world class DevOps automation to drive Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD). a, YouaAEURA(TM)ll develop high quality code adhering to our high-quality standards, whilst also helping us drive continual improvement in our ways of working to help us deliver quicker and better.

Our tech stack includes Go (Golang) and AWS (CloudFormation / CLI) including Connect, Contact Lens, Lex, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, underpinned by Git and Jenkins. We also maintain existing systems built upon Core Java, Spring Framework, REST services, JSON, Oracle, MongoDB, OpenShift, Docker, JBoss, Gradle, Jenkins, ReactJS, AJAX, CSS, HTML5, Karma, Jasmin, JUnit.

aAEURAa, a, a, Producing high quality, performant and well-documented code adhering to secure coding principles
aAEURAa, a, a, Understand CloudFormation templates (Infrastructure as Code / IaC)
aAEURAa, a, a, Have an understanding of relevant AWS services we currently use or may leverage in the future
aAEURAa, a, a, Work closely with Product Owners to understand business and customer problems and how our applications can help solve them
aAEURAa, a, a, Provide input on technical designs, learning to recognise potential performance and security issues early in their lifecycle
aAEURAa, a, a, Manage work using both Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies, supporting continuous improvements in team productivity whilst sensibly managing risks and issues
aAEURAa, a, a, Review code changes made by others, helping to support their personal development and the overall quality and reliability of our products
aAEURAa, a, a, Support releases through to production, identifying and implementing improvements to our Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) processes where relevant

aAEURAa, a, a, Your superior coding skills will lead you to naturally create code that is not only easy to maintain and enhance but will be well structured and documented
aAEURAa, a, a, You should have Strong experience in application of Object-Oriented concepts
aAEURAa, a, a, You have pretty good understanding of Engineering Practices (like XP, TDD.)

Skills that will help you in the rolea,
aAEURAa, a, a, You have application architecture skills, understanding the benefits of using key AWS services and how they can be integrated
aAEURAa, a, a, You have experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
aAEURAa, a, a, You have an appreciation for Continuous Integration and Deployment principles, understanding how Jenkins (or similar tools) can be used to effectively support frequent releases using automated pipelines
aAEURAa, a, a, You have experience of at least some of the following: Java/JavaScript/Groovy (or other languages), shell scripting (Bash), JSON, YAML, XML, SQL databases (e.g., Amazon Aurora), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), Spring Framework, Gradle, OpenShift or other cloud platforms
aAEURAa, a, a, You have experience in developing and deploying cloud native solutions
aAEURAa, a, a, Knowledge and experience of Telephony / Contact Centre related solutions, especially for IVR applications and associated skills e.g., VoiceXML and SRGS Grammars is an added advantage.
