Job Description


Role Proficiency: Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering

Outcomes:

  • Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.
  • Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.
  • Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.
  • Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  • Mentor Developer 1 – Software Engineering and Developer 2 – Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles
  • Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  • Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation
  • Assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

    Additional Comments: Job Responsibilities - Canada InterConnect operations project. • Manage and drive the cloud initiatives of the customer. • Lead the team which provides 24*7 operational support for the Canada InterConnect Applications. • Perform daily operational activity of the platform. • Lead the incident management process. • Lead the change management process. • Responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response and capacity planning of Equifax Canada InterConnect. • Providing production support, data warehousing activities, report creation that assist in business decision, monitoring day-to-day processes, timely fixing production problems encountered. • Analyzing software requirements specifications and identification of application functionalities for design, development and testing. • Respond and resolve issues reported by application end users. • Writing and maintaining programming as well as business documentations. • Coordinating with business clients, supporting application and implementing the process as per specifications provided. • Helping the application users in understanding the application and setting up the environment for them to make the application up and running. • Maintaining confidentiality concerning information being accessed stored and processed Technical Skills Expected: • Experience in Amazon Web Services EC2, Batch, ECS, ELB, S3, EMR, EBS, VPC, AMI, SNS, Cloudwatch, DocumentDB Auto Scaling, etc. • Experience with Subversion control, Build, Configuration Management tools like Github and Integration & Monitoring tools like Jenkins • Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting. • Experience in Installs, Upgrades, Patches, Migration, Troubleshooting, Security, Backup, Disaster Recovery, Performance Monitoring • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IP Addressing, DNS, and SFTP. • Documenting Every Process or work step by step and posting it on Github or Confluence and providing knowledge transfer. • Jira/ServiceNow ticketing tool for creating, managing and resolving issues and Confluence tool and managed spaces and pages to update and create documentation. • Monitoring tools such as Apica, AppDynamics and Cloudwatch, Kibana for searching errors and using ELK Stack Elastic Search. Testing tools - Postman • Experienced in supporting 7x24 production computing environments, on-call and weekend support.
