Role description

Role Proficiency:



Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering


Outcomes:



Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.

Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.

Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.

Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models

Mentor Developer 1 - Software Engineering and Developer 2 - Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles

Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system

Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation

Assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

We are looking for creative, technical problem solvers to join our Automation practice that advises clients on the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Cognitive Technologies to achieve business outcomes such as cost reduction, capability enhancement and risk mitigation. Our RPA consulting team in Bangalore interfaces with UST teams in North America and Europe to design, develop and deploy RPA solutions for clients globally utilizing RPA software such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath and others. Position Responsibilities: o Develops and configures automation processes as per the solution design document (SDD) to meet the defined requirements. o Approaches development from a modular point of view, ensuring reusability and ease of maintenance o Configure/develop in accordance with best practices ensuring a reliable and hardened automation o Perform testing of the solution in accordance with standardized test practices o Support teams during UAT and Production/Pilot phases o Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process o Maintain documentation according to firm standards, best practices and standard operating procedures Attributes o Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented o The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches with well documented, supportable and extensible developments o Ability to facilitate effective interaction between clients, suppliers, and UST colleagues. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good client interaction skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience as well as produce clear and concise written documentation o An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines. Qualifications o An IT or Business Degree o 3+ years of professional services experience preferably on automation and/or integration projects o Understands software development methodology, configuration management and lifecycle o 1-2 years of experience with one or more of the following is required: o Business process automation o Professional services o Robotic process automation o Shared services, back office or financial work processes o Experience with the one or more of the following is required: o RPA software tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, etc.) o Cognitive software tools o C# and/or Java, html, css o Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services) o Scripting languages (e.g., python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.) o Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: o Automation Anywhere o UiPath o Blue Prism o Work Fusion
