Role description

Role Proficiency:



Acts under minimum guidance of DevOps Architect to set up and manage DevOps tools and pipelines.



Outcomes:



Interpret the DevOps Tool/feature/component design and develop/support the same in accordance with specifications

Follow and contribute existing SOPs to trouble shoot issues Adapt existing DevOps solutions for new contexts

Code debug test and document; and communicate DevOps development stages/status of DevOps develop/support issues

Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components

Support users onboarding them on existing tools with guidance from DevOps leads

Work with diverse teams with Agile methodologies

Facilitate saving measures through automation

Mentor A1 and A2 resources

Involved in the Code Review of the team

Additional Comments:

JD: Junior DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities: Support the development, maintenance, and execution of CI/CD pipelines under the guidance of senior engineers. Assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for automating AWS infrastructure provisioning. Contribute to containerized application deployments using Docker, Amazon ECS, and EKS, with help from the team. Implement and maintain DevOps tools and integrations such as SonarQube, ZAP, and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus). Collaborate with development and QA teams to support build, test, and deployment workflows. Participate in maintaining source code repositories (e.g., GitHub), applying version control and branching best practices as per established standards. Follow security best practices and assist in ensuring compliance across development and operational processes. Keep up to date with DevOps trends and cloud-native technologies to support continuous learning and contribution. Experience: 2-4 years of overall experience, with hands-on exposure to AWS environments and DevOps toolchains. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and understanding of integrating tools like SonarQube, ZAP. Knowledge of source code management using Git, including basic branching and merging strategies. Good Understanding of Docker and orchestration concepts and hands-on with ECS/EKS Experience with writing or modifying Terraform scripts for provisioning AWS services like EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc. Experience in AWS fundamental services including EC2, S3, IAM, and networking (VPC, Security Groups). Willingness to learn and apply DevOps practices including automation, monitoring, and continuous delivery. Strong debugging and troubleshooting mindset. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer - Associate is a plus. Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
