Role Description

As a Java Fullstack Lead, you will be responsible for developing high-quality web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies. You will independently code, debug, test, and optimize applications based on business requirements. The role requires minimal guidance and involves mentoring junior developers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with coding and security standards. You'll work across the full stack--from frontend UI frameworks to backend services and databases--contributing to the successful delivery of customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and test robust fullstack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Understand design and requirement specifications and convert them into scalable and secure solutions. Create, execute, and maintain unit tests; fix bugs and manage production issues efficiently. Work with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka). Optimize performance, quality, and cost by implementing automation or process improvements. Mentor junior team members, set performance goals (FAST goals), and provide feedback. Interact with clients/internal stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements. Ensure adherence to engineering standards, agile practices, and documentation protocols. Participate in release management, configuration, and status reporting as per project norms.

Mandatory Skills

Core Java & Spring Boot JavaScript frameworks: React.js or Angular.js Microservices Architecture & RESTful APIs Event-driven development using Kafka SQL databases (MSSQL or equivalent) Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) Good understanding of DevOps & CI/CD practices Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Strong communication & client interaction skills

Good to Have Skills

Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes DevOps pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Domain knowledge in BFSI, Healthcare, or Retail Hands-on experience in containerization and automated deployment
