Core responsibility of the candidate is to ensure the Analysis and delivery of data Analytics projects and manage the change activities where possible. We are looking for an experienced Senior BI developer to join the team. As a member of the team you will continue to build, extend, our banking data / BI solutions and capabilities. What will you be doing . You will be responsible for the Data warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions. You will be hands on delivering strategic MI , Dashboard, and other Visualisation requirements. Delivering the visualisation function for the team . Work through a spectrum of requirements across different marketing functions . Design & Implement efficient and Insightful dashboards using appropriate visualization tools . Transform static reports and dashboards into interactive ones as may be possible . Strive to develop self-serve dashboards with capability to dynamically analyse data as per users\' needs . Automate manual reporting as much as possible to generate FTE save . Perform Real time reporting as per applicable use cases in order to enable business in taking timely decisions . Conduct POCs using latest in-market tools and technologies for creating innovative BI solutions . Ensure data capture is consistent and accurate . Lead a team of junior/mid-level BI developers, mentor them, and manage their delivery . Actively participate in the Barclays BI community to learn and share best practices, standards/guidelines, tips and tricks . Work closely with designers, data team and testers to ensure execution and delivery of good quality deliverables . Work closely with stakeholders and project managers to ensure expectations are managed and any risks/issues are highlighted in timely manner . Create and maintain required technical documentation . Identify and document best practices to be followed in the BI development process . Drive adoption of the BI\'s by doing demos and road shows . Will work closely with USCB Data Leads to ensure all data changes are modelled correctly What we\'re looking for: . years of experience on end to end application development with Qlikview, Tableau, Microstrategy & Qliksense . Experience with QlikSense extension/mashup building (including JS, HTML, CSS) . Expert level SQL skills . Comprehensive working knowledge on Oracle . Comfortable with Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources such as Teradata, Oracle and Hive into BI applications . Create performance efficient data models and dashboards . Exposure in JavaScript/D3 Libraries to build Extension objects . Solid working knowledge of writing SQL queries in Teradata and Hive/Impala . Able to generate formatted alerts from dashboards as per the defined control points . Attention to details with strong analytical and problem solving skills. . Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills . Comfortable working in a corporate environment, someone who has business acumen and an innovative mind-set . Strong Data Analysis skills, experience in Data Migration analysis . Experience of working within a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile project environment (Agile Central, JIRA, Confluence, Scrum/Kanban) . Experience working in an Agile team using Agile Central, JIRA, Confluence etc, to capture business requirements and produce actionable user stories . Data Analytics and Insight - Is able to use tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns that provide insights into specific data sets and is able to propose . Data Visualisation - Is able to use tools such as Tableau, QlikView and/or Microstrategy to provide easy to understand graphical representations of data sets. . Data Presentation Skills - Is able to define and present a narrative on a piece of data analysis which can then be played back to senior management within the Function Skills that will help you in the role: . Good understanding of Financial Regulations and an interest in Banking . Knowledge in Customer Journeys in Banking Domain . Experience on using multiple business intelligence tools . Understanding of machine-learning . Excellent problem solving skills . Strong analytical and logical skills - the ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure environment. . In depth Knowledge of software development \'best practices\' and software development life cycle. . Very effective communicator. Should have excellent written and verbal English language skills .
