Your key responsibilities
- Working knowledge of one or more public cloud platforms - GCP, Azure, AWS
- Deploying IaaS and PaaS services on public cloud platforms using Compute, Application, Storage, Database, Kubernetes and serverless components.
- Working on cloud design considerations and FinOps
- Setup networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, DNS, CDN, etc.
- Working in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks.
- Creating Terraform/Terragrunt code for automated cloud service deployments
- Setting up Application Architecture and Monitoring
- Platform enablement and build, automation (Infrastructure as Code) and security controls
- CI/CD with Jenkins and/or Ansible
- Containerisation experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience working with AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically with IaC tooling or vendor libraries
- Strong scripting / programming skills in Python, Linux Shell
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and using test driven frameworks
- Strong experience in container orchestration tools such as kubernetes
- Experience with implementing and testing different cloud Services
- Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
- Strong communication and written skills
- Experience creating technical architecture documentation
- Experience in Linux OS internals, administration and performance optimization.
- Problem-solving attitude
Good to have
- Cloud engineer/architect certifications in any of the public cloud platforms
- Certified Kubernetes Admin (CKA)
- Terraform certification
