Job Summary:




A proactive and hands-on

Detail Engineer - Mechatronics

to support the development and integration of robotic and industrial automation systems. This role involves mechanical detailing, design support, documentation and assembly coordination for robotic sub-systems. Working closely with the Application Engineer, the candidate will contribute to building solutions involving robotic arms, motion systems and mechatronic assemblies. The ideal candidate will bring strong fundamentals in mechatronics, 3D modelling and a high level of precision in execution.

Key Responsibilities:



Design Support & Drafting:

Assist in mechanical detailing and 3D modelling of robotic and automation systems using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO). Prepare assembly drawings, part drawings, and BOMs for prototyping and manufacturing. Ensure design accuracy and conformance with engineering standards and tolerances.

System Integration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, control) to integrate mechanical sub-systems in robotic platforms. Support design validation through prototyping, assembly and testing phases. Assist in configuring sensor and actuator placements as per application requirements.

Documentation & Support:

Maintain detailed technical documentation including design change notes, CAD archives and installation guides. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly constraints.

On-Ground Engineering Support:

Provide hands-on support during the fabrication and integration of robotic setups. Coordinate with vendors and shopfloor teams for component readiness and quality checks.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics / Mechanical / Robotics / Automation Engineering. 3-4 years of experience in mechanical design and detailing in robotics, automation or special-purpose machines (SPMs). Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO or similar). Good understanding of mechanical elements such as actuators, linkages, gears, fasteners and sensors. Exposure to industrial robotics, automation systems or motion control is a plus. * Strong team orientation, attention to detail and ability to follow project timelines.
