Assist in the preparation of basic dessert items including mousses, custards, puddings, tarts, and plated sweets.
Support baking activities such as sponge cakes, muffins, cookies, and choux pastries.
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines as directed by the Pastry Chef or Commis I/II.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dessert station and equipment.
Organize ingredients and mise en place before each service.
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products, adhering to food safety standards (FIFO, labeling, temperature control).
Assist in plating and garnishing desserts for service.
Learn and practice safe knife handling and kitchen safety protocols.
Participate in cleaning schedules and kitchen deep-cleaning tasks.
Attend team briefings, training sessions, and participate in staff development programs.
