Job Summary

We are seeking a Dispatch Manager to oversee the efficient coordination of transportation activities in our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring smooth logistics operations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of dispatchers and drivers Coordinate and schedule deliveries, pickups, and shipments Monitor transportation costs and performance metrics Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Utilise warehouse management systems for inventory tracking Resolve any transportation-related issues promptly Implement and improve dispatch processes for efficiency

Qualifications

Experience in team management within a warehouse or logistics environment Proficiency in using warehouse management systems like AS400 Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous Understanding of mechanical aspects related to transportation vehicles Strong grasp of business processes in a logistics setting
