The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of all IT systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, customer-centric communication, and the ability to manage multiple technical tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Troubleshoot OS issues (Windows/Mac), software applications, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware components, and standard company applications.
Manage user accounts, emails, and access rights using tools like Active Directory, Office 365, etc.
Ensure timely resolution of IT tickets through the ticketing system with proper documentation.
Set up and configure new systems for onboarding employees.
Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventive maintenance.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and assets.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security guidelines, and data protection protocols.
Support meeting room setups, video conferencing systems, and network equipment when required.
Provide on-site support at different locations as needed.
