Job Description

A desktop support engineer is an IT professional who provides technical support for computers and software systems:

Troubleshooting

: Troubleshoot and repair hardware and network issues

Installation

: Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, software, and peripheral equipment

CCTV

: : Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, software, and peripheral equipment

Network Support

: Firefall configuration

Support

: Provide end-user support, including responding to client inquiries and providing technical support

Upgrades

: Perform system upgrades and advise on software and hardware upgrades

Documentation

: Document incidents, problems, and resolutions

Training

: Train end users when new software or IT regulations arrive

Communication

: Communicate progress frequently if troubleshooting complex problems

Follow-up

: Follow-up afterwards to ensure the original problem was fully addressed

Log

: Maintain a log of job tickets and maintenance tasks

Research

: Keep up with current breakthroughs in computing technology and research its reviews
