Job Description

Technical Support:

Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via various communication channels, including in-person, phone, email, and remote desktop tools.

Issue Diagnosis:

Analyze and diagnose hardware, software, and network-related problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.

Problem Resolution:

Resolve technical issues by applying appropriate solutions, including troubleshooting techniques, software patches, updates, and configuration adjustments.

Software Installation and Maintenance:

Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and drivers on user devices, ensuring compatibility and security.

Hardware Maintenance:

Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs, including memory, hard drives, graphic cards, and other components.

User Account Management:

Create, modify, and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring security protocols are followed.

Network Connectivity:

Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, both wired and wireless, to ensure uninterrupted access to network resources and the internet.

Security and Antivirus:

Monitor and enforce security protocols, including antivirus updates, firewall configurations, and system patches to safeguard against malware and security breaches.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of technical issues, solutions applied, and troubleshooting steps taken. Create and update user guides and knowledge base articles.

Asset Management:

Keep track of IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, ensuring proper allocation, maintenance, and disposal as needed.

User Training:

Provide basic training to end-users on IT-related topics, such as software usage, best practices, and security awareness.

Remote Support:

Assist remote users by using remote desktop tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, contributing to a comprehensive IT support ecosystem.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, tools, and industry best practices to improve the quality and efficiency of desktop support services.
