Desktop Support Engineer - Job Responsibilities at Eye Mantra Hospital



Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

Provide first-level technical support to hospital staff for desktops, laptops, printers, and medical devices. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues promptly. Support users in resolving issues related to hospital management systems (HMS), PACS, EMR/EHR, and other healthcare-specific applications.

System Setup & Maintenance:

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and software required for hospital operations. Perform regular preventive maintenance on all IT equipment, including workstations and peripherals.

Network & Connectivity Support:

Ensure stable and secure LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity across departments. Troubleshoot basic networking issues and coordinate with the network team for escalated concerns.

User Management & Security:

Manage user accounts, access control, and permissions as per hospital data policies. Implement and monitor antivirus, endpoint security, and data protection tools. Ensure HIPAA/data security compliance for patient data handling.

Support for Medical Equipment Integration:

Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT components connected to medical equipment (e.g., ophthalmic devices, diagnostic tools). Collaborate with biomedical and vendor teams to ensure smooth integration and uptime.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain logs of support requests, resolutions, and preventive actions. Document system configurations, asset inventory, and warranty details.

Onsite and Remote Support:

Provide prompt support across all hospital departments, including OPD, OT, ICU, and administrative units. Offer remote assistance where applicable, especially for telemedicine or offsite clinics.

Training & Communication:

Educate hospital staff on basic IT usage, best practices, and security awareness. Communicate clearly with non-technical staff to understand and resolve issues.

Vendor Coordination:

Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, software licenses, and procurement. Ensure timely servicing and AMC compliance.

Backup & Recovery:

Assist in data backup processes and recovery procedures to safeguard hospital records and patient data.

Pay: ?10,073.79 - ?25,000.00 per month
