Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled

Desktop Support Engineer

to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing end-user support, maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults. Setup and support email clients, VPNs, and other essential software. Monitor and maintain IT inventory including hardware and software licenses. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or relevant departments. Maintain documentation of IT support procedures and resolutions. Assist in the onboarding process of new employees by setting up workstations and required access. Provide remote support when needed using tools like AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or Remote Desktop.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of

Windows OS (7, 10, 11)

Microsoft Office Suite

data backup solutions

. Ability to

troubleshoot hardware/software/networking issues

and data privacy principles. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma in

Computer Science

,

Information Technology

, or a related field. Industry certifications such as

CompTIA A+

,

Microsoft Certified (MCP/MCSE)

, or

CCNA

are a plus. Experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment is an advantage.
