The L-1 Desktop Engineer will provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops,
and workplace IT infrastructure at GIBS and its client sites. The position requires
troubleshooting user issues, installing hardware/software, and ensuring smooth IT
operations under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
?Respond promptly to end-user desktop support requests, resolving hardware and
software issues.
?Install, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
?Assist with basic network troubleshooting, printer setup, and user account
management.
?Document problem resolution and maintain records of service requests.
?Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support engineers.
Qualifications
Diploma or a Graduate in IT/Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
0-2 years relevant experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
Working knowledge of Windows OS, Office applications, and basic networking.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and adapt to fast-paced environments.
