• We’re looking for someone who’ll work with the Economics and Financial Markets Research team to develop strategies to increase trading and sales opportunities for our business
• Day-to-day, you’ll be working on research reports alongside our global team on fixed income and FX markets across EM economies
• This is a great opportunity to solve problems, provide advice on market-related data and receive great exposure for your work
• This role is available at senior analyst level

What you’ll do

We’re looking for someone who’ll collaborate with team members on a global scale on financial markets research, ad hoc requests and market-related data, trends, and events. You’ll publish analytical and thematic research reports and formulate trade ideas and investment opportunities You’ll also be:

• Making sure all desk strategy activities are in line with group policies about conduct, operations, and regulatory risks
• Building financial models and frameworks while setting up an analytics suite that can help analyse the markets
• Commenting on macroeconomic data releases, financial model results, financial market data and global political developments
• Studying economies and using your opinions to shape our bank’s future policy path
• Writing reviews and central bank preview meetings

The skills you’ll need

To join us in this role, you’ll need around 2-6 years’ experience in macroeconomics or financial markets research. You’ll also have a great academic background and hold a BTech, MBA with CFA, FRM, be progressing towards these or be a postgraduate in economics/econometrics. Having a computer programming background would also be advantageous in this role. You’ll also need:

• Excellent programming skills
• Technical and analytical skills and a working knowledge of economic and financial market databases
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
