Job Description

We are hiring Design Engineer - AutoCAD, you will be responsible for preparing detailed machine and component drawings for food processing and automation equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and installation to ensure functional and manufacturable designs aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed

2D and 3D machine designs

and manufacturing drawings using

AutoCAD

. Design

food processing machines, conveyors, automation systems

, and custom mechanical parts based on project requirements. Prepare

assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials)

. Revise and improve existing machine designs for performance, cost, and efficiency. Ensure designs comply with

food safety standards

, hygiene guidelines, and industry norms. Coordinate with the production team to resolve design-related challenges during manufacturing and assembly. Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and proper filing systems. Support the installation and commissioning teams by providing design insights or modifications as needed. Participate in design review meetings, client discussions, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

B.E. / B.Tech in

Mechanical Engineering

or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience

in AutoCAD, drafting and mechanical design, Tekla preferably in

food machinery

,

industrial automation

, or

special-purpose machine (SPM)

design. Strong knowledge of machine elements, sheet metal design, tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with mechanical components like motors, gearboxes, conveyors, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in generating part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs. Working knowledge of other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment. Attention to detail, quality-focused, and a problem-solving mindset.
