• The Designer supports and participates in all applicable company wide initiatives. Work: 1. Proactively seek out opportunities to maximize the business. 2. Support and participate in all relevant company wide initiatives as they arise. 3. Keep yourself always ready for adjusting to changing priorities. 4. Translate seasonal concept into fully articulated line for product classification. 5. Lead the denim design development and execution of the line of your individual categories. 6. Work with brand merchandising team to create seasonal direction in fit- fabric and concept that is true to the overall design direction and relevant and utilizes current sales information. Collaboration: 1.Collaborate with cross functional team to creatively solve problems throughout the product development process and adhere to cost challenges. 2.Mentor, train & develop Associate/ Assistant Designer. Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback. 3.Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current and historical business to design a line that is relevant to the customer and reflects the Levi's brand aesthetics. Conduct: 1. In depth seasonal competitive research on fabric, wash and fit 2. Understand the intricacies of the production process in denim fabrications, construction and wash process. 3. Send all new fabric/yarn requests to product development team for sourcing purposes. 4. Create and manage tech packs including detailed sketches, garment construction, fabric, trimmings, etc. 5. Manage deadlines in accordance with the GTM calendar. 6. Lead the aesthetic of all fits and styling details. 7. Actively participate in fit sessions. 8. Stay aware of industry trends and market competitors. Strength : 1. Strong conceptual design ability, fabric weave knowledge, and wash aesthetics and sensibility. 2. Understanding of the youth market and customer. 3. Ability to multi-task and shift priorities. 4. Relevant and required organizational, communication, and presentation skills. 5. Competency working with Excel, Photoshop, & Illustrator.
