: Design Engineer - Manufacturing

Job Summary

:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

design engineer

to support the design and development of products and components in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to create innovative, efficient, and manufacturable designs that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts, assemblies, and tooling using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA. Collaborate with production and process teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Interpret customer specifications, standards, and requirements to develop accurate design solutions. Perform design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM). Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and revision history. Support prototyping, testing, and pilot production activities. Participate in cross-functional meetings to address product development and process improvement.

Required Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field. Proven experience (

fresher to 2+ years

) in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA). Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication). Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
