Role Description:
At eGov, we believe solving public challenges needs more than technology and policy -- it requires human-centered design. As a Design Thinker, you'll help shape how governments, citizens, and frontline workers interact with systems, ensuring our solutions are intuitive, inclusive, and scalable.
Your first major project will be the Manhole to Machinehole (M2M) initiative -- aimed at ending unsafe manual scavenging by enabling fully mechanized desludging in Indian cities. You'll use design to make sanitation services safer, more efficient, and equitable.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
Apply human-centered and systemic design to eGov's products and programs.
Design service delivery models and digital/public systems solutions.
Lead co-creation workshops and trainings with governments, NGOs, citizens, and workers.
Create visual tools (e.g., journey maps, ecosystem diagrams) to clarify complex challenges.
Develop training modules for ULBs, NGOs, and sanitation workers.
Embed design thinking into public service transformation at eGov.
Requirements:
7-12 years of experience in service, system, or human-centered design.
Excellent in simplifying complex problems into user-friendly solutions and are skilled in facilitation, co-creation, and tools like Figma, Miro, and Adobe Suite.
Experience designing for public systems or social impact is essential.
