Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or a related technical field (Mechanical, Electronics, Practical experience with fabrication tools and machinery such as 3D printers, laser cutters, hand and power tools, and soldering equipment. Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino). Working knowledge of CAD software such as Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or equivalent. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written) is required. Prior experience in a makerspace, fabrication lab, or educational environment. Min 2 years in a school.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a

Design Thinking Lab Technician

to support hands-on learning and innovation in our Design Thinking Lab. The role involves assisting teachers and students, managing lab equipment and materials, and ensuring a safe, organized, and creative environment for practical learning and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up tools, materials, and equipment for Design Thinking and project-based learning sessions Operate and maintain lab equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, and electronics kits Assist students and teachers in the safe use of tools and machinery Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and basic troubleshooting of lab equipment Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and raw materials Support prototype development, workshops, exhibitions, and school events Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and lab usage protocols

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or a related technical field Hands-on experience with fabrication tools, digital manufacturing, or makerspace equipment Basic knowledge of electronics, sensors, and microcontrollers (Arduino preferred) Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Tinkercad or Fusion 360 Good communication and organizational skills Fluency in English and Hindi

Preferred:

Experience in a makerspace, fabrication lab, or educational environment * Interest in Design Thinking and creative prototyping
