Job Description

Job Purpose (Summary of the purpose of the position)
As our Senior Executive - Design, you will lead and inspire the design team in developing compelling visual content across a wide range of digital platforms, including social media, our website, app, and online marketplaces. You will oversee both UI/UX and graphic designers, ensuring creative consistency, brand alignment, and design excellence across all touchpoints.
With a strong command of design language, a collaborative mindset, and emerging leadership qualities, you will play a key role in driving innovation and elevating the overall design function to support strategic business goals.
B. Key Responsibilities
1. Design Strategy & Brand Alignment
Develop and implement cohesive design strategies for digital channels including:
Social media platforms
Website and mobile app
Online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Nykaa)
Email marketing and other digital interfaces
Establish and uphold brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency.
Stay abreast of design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure relevance and competitive edge.
2. Design Execution & Quality Control
Lead the creation of high-impact visual content, including but not limited to:
Social media creatives, ads, and stories
UI/UX design for website and app
Email newsletters and promotional campaigns
Product pages, banners, and other marketplace assets
Review and approve final outputs to ensure design excellence, brand integrity, and attention to detail.
Implement scalable design systems to streamline design operations.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with teams across functions, such as:
Marketing: to support campaign execution and storytelling
Product & Tech: for seamless UI/UX delivery on digital platforms
Sales & CRM: for performance-driven creative development
Translate business and user needs into effective design solutions.
Communicate design rationale and progress effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
4. Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a team of graphic designers and UI/UX professionals.
Allocate resources, set timelines, and optimize workflows for efficient project execution.
Identify skill gaps and arrange training or upskilling opportunities.
Encourage a culture of creativity, ownership, and continuous innovation within the team.
5. Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate design impact using performance metrics (engagement, CTR, conversion, etc.).
Gather user feedback and conduct design reviews to iterate and improve.
Introduce design automation tools and practices for operational efficiency.
Design Strategy:
Develop and implement design strategies for social media, website,App, marketplaces, and other digital platforms.
Ensure design consistency across all touchpoints, aligning with brand guidelines.
Stay updated on design trends, technologies, and best practices.
Design Execution:
Oversee the creation of high-impact visual elements, including:
Social media graphics and ads.
Website/App design and development.
Email newsletters and campaigns.
Other marketplaces, digital platforms, and marketing materials.
Ensure design excellence, creativity, and attention to detail.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and CRM.
Ensure design alignment with business objectives and brand messaging.
Communicate design concepts, progress, and results to stakeholders.
Team Management:
Manage design workflows, timelines, and resources.
Identify training and development needs for team members.
Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
