Overview:

Design Release Engineer - BIW

Responsibilities:

Part Design and Modeling:

Create Parametric Surface models of BIW Parts (Underbody & Upperbody components)as per
o Packaging requirements
o Design standards
o Performance criteria
o Surface Class requirement
o Geometrical requirementsCreate Associative Assembly models DMU check for clash and clearance

CAE Interactions:

Responsible for meeting DVP&R and DFMEA by virtual analysis by interacting with necessary CAE teams.

Product Data management in TC system:

Adhere to PLM system rules and maintain part history Maintain the structure as per EBOM in the PLM system Release parts and assemblies as per Corporate Release Process following instructions of DRE

Change Management:

Support the Change management by design changes and /or incorporating feed backs from Development team

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
Essential skills:

Essential:

Advanced Surface Modeling /Assembly Modeling using CATIA V5 / V6-Sheet metals DMU Analysis Section study PLM/ EBOM

Desired skills:

Desirable:

Sheet metal design aspects/ Formability Kinematic simulation Knowledge in GD&T, Sheet Materials Knowledge on Sheet metal welding process Die Process and Die Tryouts Panel Defect Identification / Correction Design for manufacturing

Experience:

8 to 10 Years
