Job Overview

Craftels is hiring a

Design & Project Head (Architect)

to lead

design + on-site execution

for our hospitality developments in South Goa.

This is a

design-build leadership role

, responsible for translating strong architectural concepts into

high-quality, buildable, cost-controlled hospitality spaces

, with a strong focus on

sustainable and alternative construction methods

.

This role is

not desk-based

. Strong site presence and execution ownership are mandatory.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical

Lead concept development aligned with Craftels' brand and sustainability philosophy Prepare and review working drawings, details, and constructability solutions Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams Handle on-site design changes and real-time problem solving
Site Execution & Project Management

Plan construction sequencing and execution strategy Daily coordination with contractors and site supervisors Monitor quality control and workmanship standards Prepare snag lists and ensure closure before handover
Cost & Time Management

Ensure adherence to approved BOQs and budgets Review, justify, and approve variations Perform value engineering without compromising design intent Track milestones and implement schedule recovery plans
Required Qualifications & Experience

B.Arch degree (mandatory)

Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience

Hands-on site execution experience (mandatory)

Experience in hospitality projects, boutique hotels, resorts, villas, or design-build firms preferred Exposure to alternative materials (wood, bamboo, eco-friendly systems) is a strong advantage Comfortable working in semi-remote or greenfield locations
Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detailing and build quality Ability to take ownership and make decisions on site Good coordination and communication skills Interest in sustainable and alternative construction methods Willingness to work long site hours when required
