Position- Design & NPD Manager

Location-Yestwantpura, Peenya

Exp-10+yrs

(manufacturing industry like automotive ,progressive tools, Stamping tools, stamped components are only eligible)

Qualification-Any related

Package- 1.2L Per month

Job overview-

1. Check feasibility of enquires and Costing Estimate of press tool .

2. Analyze new components, materials and technologies

3. Understand the drawing and tolarence.

4. Find out critical parameter in part drawing and identify of criticality of manufacturing process.(TFRR& DFM)

5.Stamping Process layout &Tool assembly concept & review with technical team

6.Detailing drawing for manufacturing & Final BOM for child parts list.

7.TOOL TRIALS & DEBUGGING

8. Interacting with customers, suppliers and internal resources.

9.ECR & ECN (Engineering Change Request & Note)

a)After submission part change or process change by internal & external customer.

b)For improvements to production.

c) Fit & Functions with matting part issues feedback by customer.

d)Acceptance criteria not satisfaction by sub suppliers to end customer.

e)Continuous improvements in cost reduction & delivery on time.

10. REVERSE ENGENEERING:

a)Proposal given to different types of concepts of design for reducing more process in production.

b)Modification of running tool for increasing efficiency further based on current facing issues in the tool.

11. GAUGE & FIXTURES DESIGN:

a)Understanding & identifying critical dimensions to make gauge design concept & issue manufacturing.

b) Discussion with QA team for ensure the customer requirements during fixture design.

12. Able to handle Development of new project

13)Filing of documents through ISO & TS.

14) Transfer the tool to serial mass production team through design documents.

15) Allocate the tool design activity to the correct team member

16) follow the design activity based on the tool time plan for ontime completion

17) Debug and support designers for any tool correction/modification etc

NPD FUNCTIONS

1.NPD project data file preparation & monitoring..Get TFRR and TTP from the design team and send to customer and dicuss and convey the changes to the team.

2.Coordination with Tool room, design , outsourcing, Key account managers, Quality to update progress of the project in time plan & escalation if any delay. Document the reports

3.Ensure that the Toolmakers are alloted by the toolroom for specific project and they complete the task within the timeframe.

4.Coordination with production team for NPD samples trial & submission to NPD Quality for inspection.

5.Inspection reports (SIR) collection & submission to KAM for approval.

6.Follow up for approved SIR from KAM

7.After Samples approval - Monitor 3 lots acceptance at customer end. Once the customer communication is received for any part (NPD part), prepare the detail file as per the listed process and release the file for use (Model file is made by you for reference)

8.Prepare the necessary control plan & tool details for each project and add to the file. Necessary documentation to be filed upon discussion with the QA team

9.Manage customer ECN and other notifications of changes through CFT

10.Monitoring of Cost incurred for the tooling and New tool development/ other modification/rework, monitor the budgeted cost v/s actual cost and report to the management once every month

11.Monitor project life cycle from initiation till closure of the tool and report monthly .
